We are a religious congregation dedicated to preaching and teaching God's love through the Cross of Christ, serving the poorest and most marginalized in Indian society.
Our Journey in India
In 1981, at the urging of St. Mother Teresa, the first Passionist missionaries arrived in Cochin, Kerala. Frs. Walter Kaelin and Philip Smith established our first community, Ashram J.X.P., blessed on May 27, 1981.
Over four decades, we have grown from a single community to the St. Thomas Vice-Province, serving across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, and Madhya Pradesh through parishes, schools, retreat centers, and formation houses.
Today, we continue St. Paul of the Cross's mission, reaching out with compassion to those who suffer, keeping alive the memory of Christ's Passion through community life, prayer, and service to the crucified ones of our time.
Rooted in the spirituality of St. Paul of the Cross, we live as a family of priests, brothers, and laity committed to serving the crucified ones of today.
We reach out with compassion to the crucified of today, keeping alive the memory of the Passion through community life, prayer, ministry of Word and Sacraments, enlightening young minds, care for creation, and service to the needy.
Meditation on Christ's Passion as the path to holiness and understanding God's love

Under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Thomas Anamattathil C.P. and his council, we continue the legacy of St. Paul of the Cross through dedicated formation and ministry.
